London Wedding Band - The Blue Jeans - Biography

The Blue Jeans are one of the most popular vintage party bands in the UK. Since forming on the sunny coast of Brighton some 5 years ago, the band have since played hundreds of shows far and wide around the country and even internationally, with previous clients such as The Chelsea Flower Show, Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Bulleit Bourbon, Vintage Nostalgia Festival, Wilderness Festival and The Fitzwilliam Museum Of Cambridge to name just a few.

Whilst covering all the classics from the 50s and 60s, The Blue Jeans specialise in taking modern tunes and working them into their own swing and soul versions - so be it the classics of the Motown era, or 90s nostalgia; The Blue Jeans have it all covered in true vintage style.

Consisting of full-time professionals, the band are no strangers on what it takes to put on a great show - great music is just the start! Every gig comes as standard complete with matching suits, inappropriate kazoo and ukulele solos over your favourite Top 40 tracks, ambitious (though not always consistent) stage choreography, temporary-tattoo business cards, and more spins of the double bass than is probably necessary, The Blue Jeans are guaranteed to make your event go off with a bang!

Band Member Bios

Anna The Blue Jeans Bio

Anna - Lead Vocals / Tambourine /Ukulele / Kazoo / Selfie Stick

The face of The Blue Jeans, Anna has been fronting bands and wielding novelty instruments for over ten years. Being the most popular review is 'she's got such a big voice for such a small person' (4’11", incase you're wondering), it’s true that big things come in small packages! Anna has performed internationally and worked on various sessions, including some as strange as being given the brief 'like a zombie, but from West Side Story' for a rockabilly Halloween album for the acclaimed production music company Audio Network. During her many jobs in the music industry, she has worked with artists such as Patti Smith, the Puppini Sisters and The Staves, along with companies such as the BBC and the X Factor.

Kris The Blue Jeans Bio

Kris - Guitar / Backing Vocals

First picking up the guitar aged 11, Kris has now been playing for 15 years and has a wealth of professional experience. Having played and performed internationally, Kris has worked with bands of all styles and genres, and under the same producers as Mick Jagger, Slash, Reef, and Beverly Knight. Outside of his guitar duties in The Blue Jeans, he also has composed music for short films, international adverts, and has a strong career as a solo guitarist - even once playing in Gordon Ramsey’s Mayfair restaurant and foolishly turning down a free meal due to wanting to “get home and beat the traffic”. Having co-founded the band with Anna many years ago through a love of vintage music, his blues and jazz background make him a strong performer with The Blue Jeans.

Lloyd The Blue Jeans Bio

Lloyd - Double Bass / Backing Vocals

Wielding the biggest instrument in the northern hemisphere, Lloyds walking bass lines, jazzy solos and raucous slap style is a force to be reckoned with… he really is all about that bass (no treble). Lloyd has been recording and performing for over 15 years, mastering anything that holds up the low end - be it upright bass, electric bass, tuba, and even sousaphone! As an in demand musician Lloyds pursuit of all things bass have led to him playing some highly prestigious stages such as Wembley, Love Supreme Festival, Secret Garden Party, Brighton Dome, and has even appeared on live national television.

**Please note - remarking “that’s a big cello / guitar” will score you little to no points with Lloyd.

Jack The Blue Jeans Bio Jack - Drums / Percussion

The beating heart and backbone of the band, Jack takes no prisoners when it comes to getting people up and dancing. Having played drums for over 15 years, Jacks drumming endeavours have taken him across the map playing international tours and festivals, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in modern music - most recently supporting the likes of Royal Blood and Bombay Bicycle Club.
